William H. Masters and Virginia E. Johnson did pioneer research on the Human Sex Response.
In one of their studies, they attached a mini camera to an artificial penile mechanism to study what a female goes through during sexual intercourse or sexual acts (i.e., vaginal lubrication, swelling of the clitoris, and swelling of the vaginal lips).
